At Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland. The track is on Athletic Field Drive off Hickory Ridge Road. Directions are here.
Athletes must be 19 years or older on June 1, 2019. Athletes 19-29 will compete in the open division; athletes 30 or older will compete in 5-year age groups.
No, the meet has no qualifying standards. Any USATF member 19+ as of June 1, 2019 can participate.
Yes, there will be a food truck at the track but there are no restaurants or other food establishments within walking distance. Water in jugs will be provided at the track.
The track is a 400m, 8-lane Beynom 1000 surface; javelin runway as well as pole vault and jump runways and aprons are the same; only ¼” spikes permitted.
Yes; you may use only meet-supplied starting blocks.
Maximum ¼-inch spikes only. We perform a spike check before you can compete.
Yes, 27”hurdles will be available for those age groups requiring them. Athletes entering hurdle events requiring 27” hurdles must register by the on-time deadline (May 24, 2019, 11:59 pm EST) – NO EXCEPTIONS!
Yes, we will provide at least one implement for each age group in each event.
Yes, you may bring and use your own implement(s), but they must be weighed and inspected prior to the competition.
Take I-95 or US-29 to Columbia. From I-95 go west on MD-32 to US-29. From US-29 take the Broken Land Parkway exit to the west. Turn left on Hickory Ridge Road to Athletic Field Drive. Limited parking is available there; if that lot is full, do not park in reserved spaces (you will be towed), return to Hickory Ridge and turn right and then take the first right into the campus. There is a lot immediately on the right and a path leads from that lot to the track.
The full tentative schedule is posted on the website. Field event times may be changed after the on-time deadline (May 24, 2019). Check back after May 26, 2019 for revisions to the field event schedule.
Relay teams may only enter on-site, however, each member of a relay team must also be entered in the meet as an individual. The normal entry process applies to each team member, including the deadlines. All 4x400m relay teams must sign up at the clerking table in the shed by 3:30 PM on Saturday, June 1, or by 2 PM on Sunday, June 2, for the 4x100m relays. Relay entry fees are payable on registration for the relay and are $20/relay team.

If after you complete your entry, the status of entry page indicates “dob docs needed,” then please fax or e-mail a copy of your birth certificate or the information page of your passport, with your membership number written on it, to the USATF National Office at 800-833-1466 or membership@usatf.org.
Yes, you may do so until the late entry deadline on May 29, 2019. After that date no changes may be made. You can, however, verify your entry, by event, on the Status of Entries page.
At least one hour before each of your track events sign in on the declaration sheet for that event at the clerking table in the shed. For field events you must report to the event venue 20 minutes prior to the start time for your event.
- For track events, declaration sheets willll be at the clerking table on the day of the event.
- For field events, officials will have declaration sheets at the field event venue.
