Our workout this Sunday, December 13, at Thomas Jefferson Community Center, 3501 2nd Street South, Arlington VA, is our last of the season.
This workout is an actual practice track meet. When you arrive at the front desk, please pick up your bib number(s) and pin them to the FRONT of your shirt.
Also, please pick up your participation certificate and your PVTC Young Flyers t-shirt if you have not already picked up yours.
For this meet, we need all hands on deck. We practiced timing and measuring over the past 10 weeks, and at this meet, we use what we have learned.
Please check in for one or more events using this handy survey form:

Note the schedule of events is the same as for our track meets on January 10, January 24, and February 7. The schedule:
We especially need 6 timers + 1 chief timer in the 55-meter hurdles and runs at 3:15 PM. We start athletes F/M youngest to oldest, 6 at a time.
Each 55-meter timer gets a clipboard. The timers each pick athletes and record those athletes bib numbers and then finish times.
Later, I collate and sort the times off the clipboards.
For the longer races - one mile, 400 meters, 800 meters, we need just one adult with a clipboard to record bib numbers and time.
In the 200 meter, however, we need six timers once again, since athletes run fast and stay together.
In the standing long jump, we need parents to sit on chairs to hold down the landing mats and to measure each jump and to record the distances.
In the shot put and turbo-javelin throw, we need parents to measure each throw and to record the distances.
Each athlete gets three jumps and three throws with each implement, best distance counts.
Later on Sunday, we publish results on-line at
