Frequently-asked questions:
How do I register?
- Since some of our distance races are on National Park Service grounds, we cannot offer race-day registration onsite at those races.
- Until two weeks before each race, entries are $5.00 for members of PVTC, $10.00 for all others.
- Then, up to three days before the race, entries are $10 for members, $15 for all others.
- Then up to race day, entries are $20 for all.
I see that Active.com offers additional options besides registration. What are they?

Can I enter by mail?
- Yes. Download and print the mail-in entry form, fill it out, write a check to PVTC, and

- It's a trade-off. You will save the transacton fee, minimum $3.25 |

- Entering on-line gives you instant confirmation of your registration and subsequent confirmation
- Entering by mail runs the risk of your letter not arriving, or our club secretary missing your letter, plus you have to use a $0.47 stamp

What do I do on race day?
- Our 5K races start at 7:50 AM; our 10K races start at 8:00 AM. Go Fourth is only one 8K race at 7:30 AM.
- Race-day packet pick-up begins on-site one hour before the race.
- Allow time to find parking, pick up your bib number, and get to the start.
- Our races are on park roads and paths, open to the public. Be courteous to other park users.
- We expect about 300 participants at our distance races.
How Do I Run a Race Using a Bib Number, not a timing chip?
- Read the answer
- Please don't remove the tear-off tag at the bottom of your bib number. We collect those tags at the finish line to score the race.
- At races when we offer 5K and 10K, please mark "5K" or "10K" on the bottom of your bib number.
- If you are a race walker, please mark "RW" on the bottom of your bib number.
How do I get to East Potomac Park Golf Course?
- Address: 972 Ohio Drive SW, Washington DC
- Directions: From I-395 north, take East Potomac Park exit, turn left at Buckeye Drive, turn right at Ohio Drive, turn right into golf course parking.
- From Independence Avenue, turn south at Ohio Drive (West Potomac Park). Cross over Tidal Inlet Bridge. turn left at Buckeye Drive, turn right at Ohio Drive, turn right into golf course parking.
- Course: Our 5K is out'n'back once; our 10K is out'n'back twice
- Bag Check: Available behind the registration table.
- Refreshments: We host a water station at the registration area before the start and finish and at the 5K point in the 10K
