Relay Workouts

The club plans on holding annual relay race practice (at least once a season), pushing out information via the website, Facebook or email regarding upcoming opportunities for relay racing.

Potomac Valley Track Club is committed to creating the opportunities for its members to run in relay races at all levels of competition including local, regional, national and international meets.

The club has a long and distinguished history of relay racing with its most recent notable ones from the 2013 and 2015 USATF National Masters Indoor Track & Field Championships. Those relays contributed significantly to the club winning the club national indoor championship each of those years.

Typical relay races run indoors are the 4 x 200m, 4 x 400m and the 4 x 800m. Outdoor relay races include the 4 x 100m, 4 x 400m and the 4 x 800m. Other relays can be contested including the shuttle hurdles.

The club organizes and supports relay teams at indoor and outdoor meets where the club pays all of the relay team entry fees.

PLEASE NOTE
If you know of a meet that has relays, please email or call Christopher Hickey, PVTC Club Relay Coordinator at 978-201-1024.
Stand by for Chris or a meet relay coordinator to be in touch with you.

Oh, what's a meet relay coordinator? This is the person or persons who help organize relay teams for specific meets. If you are interested in performing this crucial task for the club, contact Chris.
