genamarie The Potomac Valley Track Club finished up their season this weekend with the 30th annual Potomac Valley Games at Langley High School. James Stookey of Dickerson, Md. set a new world record at the meet in the 80-meter high hurdles for men over the age of 75.

Local winners at the games included Ted Poulos, 43, of McLean. He won the 10,000-meter run and finished second in the 3K run. Laura Niel, 41, of Annandale, finished first in the 3K racewalk.

Local winners in the youth events included Anthony Swindell, 13, of Lorton. He won the youth 800-meter run and finished second in the 400-meter run. Thomas Robinson, 13, of Reston, finished in second place in 100 and 200-meter dashes. Langley senior Jack Pembroke was another winner, finishing first in the one-mile run.
