After a gray, rainy day on Friday, race day dawned crisp, clear, and sunny -- a splendid day for FitQuest 2007.
Marathoner David Miller ran the 5K course twice before the start just to warm up, then clobbered the competition in 16:22. Carpenter Chuck Moeser had fun building the tents pre-race, then ran second -- shirtless -- in 17:25.
Among women, Tonya Stotter trotted away with the win in 22:08, ahead of Alison Smith's 24:13.
First Ashburn Villager was Brandon Croarkin, fourth in 20:03
Sponsors included Broadlands Orthodontics Cantwell Vision Therapy Centers, and Roxanne Azmoudeh DDS PC.
A fit time was had by all.
