In Potomac Valley Track Club's first 2008 Ed Barron Championship Series race, club president Craig Chasse pulled away from Ted Poulos in the third mile of the 5K. Linda S. Foley outdueled fellow masters runner Win Persina for the women's win.
Kevin Lucid was the clear winner in the 10K, just two seconds ahead on Noah Zaring. Mindy Surratt surpassed Elizabeth Jones among the women.
